Site History

Buddha's teachings are just as relavent today as they were over three thousand years ago. Even more so when you look at the technologically advanced world of the present. People are now reaching out for something pure, something that makes sense. Something that brings clarity and order out of chaos. This can be found in applying Buddhist precepts into one's life.

Our beliefs were founded in 460 BC by a great teacher named Shakyamuni. He left his home and family in search of truth. It took many years of meditation and sacrifice, but one glorious day, his efforts bore fruit. He became a fully self enlightened being, a Buddha. He severed the bonds of suffering with a crystal clear view of emptiness. This view, this realization, combined with deep wisdom and infused with boundless compassion, is what makes up the Buddha's teachings or Dharma that we study and practice today.

With each challenge encountered, we Buddhists have became stronger in our practice. This site will provide links to other sites that provide more detail on Buddhist history and diversity.

We invite you to become a part of the Cyber Temple today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
